About Blithe Embroidery

Blithe Embroidery is the work of Alyssa Fea, a fourth-generation textile artist who grew up learning to sew and hand embroider from her mother and grandmother. She honed her machine embroidery craft at Charlottesville's own Cottonwood Quilt Shop before launching Blithe in 2025. What started as intimate custom orders has quietly become one of the most sought-after embroidery studios in the area.
What sets Alyssa apart isn't just the needlework, it's the eye behind it. A graduate of VCU Brandcenter, she works full-time as a remote Senior Brand Strategist at a New York creative advertising agency, with clients like Crayola, Disney Vacation Club, and General Motors. She understands not just how to make something beautiful, but how to make it mean something.
