Blithe means IGNORE norms.

We ignore the shortcuts many embroidery companies make in mass production.

You ignore what algorithms are telling you to like in favor of what resonates with you.

And if that’s something personalized, we’re here to help you bring that vision to life.

ABOUT THE OWNER

I'm Alyssa, founder of Blithe Embroidery, and fourth-generation textile artist. I've been stitching since I was five, taught by my mom and grandmother.

Before Blithe, I spent 8 years as a creative brand strategist on brands like Crayola, Pampers, and Columbia, work that earned three Cannes Lions and a gold Effie.

A year into embroidery as a hobby, it started to feel more like its own brand. So I left the corporate world to build Blithe full time. Now I'm an embroidery design engineer, and lead digitizing, stitching, and finishing in-house in Charlottesville, VA.

Thanks for being here. Now let's make something that means something.

Each of the women in my family have a different textile art expertise. This background photo is a table cloth my great great grand-mother. I especially love the espresso stains.
